Overview:
Some people tailgate for football games— I tailgate for shows. I typically arrive several hours before doors to meet fellow fans and distribute whatever I’ve crafted in the week (or day!) before the show. This has historically included a medley of friendship bracelets but more recently STICKERS! I illustrate these in Procreate, print them on sticker paper, and then run them through my Siser Juliet. My joy in folks’ reactions when they realize they’re freebies is heartwarming.
I continue to hold the opinion that fanart—in all forms—is a wonderful type of community. It’s a shared experience and translation of media into something tangible— whether the form of art, literature, or fashion!
